Wallcreeper The Wallcreeper is a very scarce breeder (approx. 100 breeding pairs in Germany; Bezzel 1995) at cliffs in the alpine region (the breeding walls are often somewhat damp). Although the Wallcreeper is so remarkably colored, one has to scan larger rock portions very patiently, in order to find one. A good area is the area around Garmisch-Partenkirchen. There are few observations in the National Park Berchtesgaden every year. Outside of the breeding season Wallcreppers are also moving into lower ranges where they prefer quarries.
